Radio 1 operates in 802.11 b/g/n mode (2.4 GHz), while Radio 2 supports 802.11 a/n (5 GHz) plus the 4.9 GHz public safety band — ideal for government and emergency services applications. Modular Mesh Integration Unlike conventional mesh systems that combine backhaul and client access in one enclosure, HotPoint access points can be physically separated from Firetide mesh nodes. This allows network designers to optimize RF performance independently for both mesh backhaul and client access. 128 Concurrent Clients Each HotPoint access point supports up to 128 simultaneous client connections across 16 Virtual APs (VAPs), enabling multiple SSIDs with different security policies, access levels, and bandwidth allocations on a single device. Flexible Deployment Connect directly to Firetide mesh nodes for cable-free backhaul, or attach to conventional Ethernet infrastructure where wired connectivity is available. Power can be supplied via PoE from connected mesh nodes, eliminating the need for separate power supplies in remote locations. Centralized Management Manage all access points and mesh nodes from a single HotView console.
